Chladni Rect 1
Rectangular cymatic plate implementation usable as a mask or as a source. Wave color, background color, rotation, scale, animation speed and N and M factors are tunable.
Cymatics, a term introduced by the Swiss physician Jan Jenny in his book *Cymatics: The Study of Wave Phenomena*, was originally coined by the German scientist Ernst Chladni, who demonstrated the existence of geometric patterns caused by acoustic vibrations applied to sand or salt deposited on metal plates. The corresponding equations were derived by the French mathematician Sophie Germain (1776–1831). Thanks to these equations, it is possible to simulate and graphically represent these waves.”
